After years of performing and releasing music as his garage pop alter ego ’Doctor Nod’, Kale Ogle at last steps forward through the dust and debris to claim his name.

Here we find him reduced to little more than a guitar and a song. As before, there are echoes of Lou Reed & Syd Barrett, but now with perhaps more Leonard Cohen & Townes Van Zandt.

The songs are sincere, soulful and repetitive, and in general sound fresh off the front porch. The lyrics tell of love and the abyss, of beauty and darkness, and are often explored in the terms of a symbolic vision.

A new singer/songwriter is emerging from Fayetteville, AR to tell his story.
